State Seller’s Disclosure Laws
When selling your home in the United States, you are likely obligated to disclose any problems that could affect the property’s value or desirability. In all states, it is illegal to actively, fraudulently conceal major physical defects in your property. Beyond this, however, most states’ laws require sellers to take a proactive role in making problems known to buyers, by making written disclosures about the condition of the property.
